Mason City City is a United States city located in the Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, United States. It is home to over 29172 people (2000 census). The city spans an area of 26.16 mi˛ (67.75 square kilometre), of which, 25.79 square miles (66.8 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.38 square miles (0.98 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 11th largest by total area in Iowa.
