Mascoutah City, St. Clair County, Illinois is a city located in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 5659 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 6701, It is 294th most populous in Illinois. It has total area of 8.7 sq mi (22.53 kmē), of which, 8.64 square miles (22.38 kmē) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 kmē) of it is water, it is the 102nd largest by area in the U.S. state of Illinois.
