Mary Esther City, Okaloosa County, Florida is a city located in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 4055 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 3918, It is the 481st most populous in the U.S. state of Florida. The city extends throughout a territory of 1.54 sq mi (3.99 sq km ), making it Florida's 231st smallest by total area.
