Marshalltown City is a United States city located in the Marshall County, Iowa, United States. The population of the city was 26009 as per the 2000 census data. Its population was estimated at 25850 in July 2008, It is the 19th largest by population in the U.S. state of Iowa. Its area is just over 18.05 square miles (46.75 square kilometre), of which, 18.03 square miles (46.7 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 16th largest in terms of geographical size.
