Marshall County is a county located in Mississippi, in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. Marshall County had an official population of 34993 in 2000. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 37102, It is the 22nd largest county by population in the U.S. state of Mississippi. The county extends throughout a territory of 709.8 miē (1838.37 kmē ), of which, 706.33 square miles (1829.39 kmē) of it is land and 3.47 square miles (8.99 kmē) of it is water, it is the 19th largest by area in the U.S. state of Mississippi.
