Marshall County is a United States county located in the United States of Indiana. The population of the county was 45128 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 46709, It is Indiana's 31st most populous county. Its area is just over 449.92 square miles (1165.29 sq km), of which, 444.27 square miles (1150.65 sq km) of it is land and 5.65 square miles (14.63 sq km) of it is water, making it the 24th largest by size in Indiana.

The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 46709, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 97.63% White, 0.72% Black or African American, 0.33% American Indian, 0.45% Asian, 0.04% Native Hawaiian, and 0.82% from two or more races.
