Marquette City is a one of the Clayton County, Iowa, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 421 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 438, It is 525th most populous in Iowa. The city encompasses an area of 1.28 square miles (3.32 sq km ), of which, 1.22 square miles (3.16 sq km) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 sq km) of it is water, it is the 282nd largest in terms of geographical size.
