Marmet City, Kanawha County, West Virginia is a city located in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. The population of city in 2000 stood at 1693 as per the Census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 1605, It is the 95th most populous in the U.S. state of West Virginia. The city comprises an area of 1.55 sq mi (4.01 sq km), of which, 1.41 square miles (3.65 sq km) of it is land and 0.14 square miles (0.36 sq km) of it is water, making it the 112th largest by size in West Virginia.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1693 people in the city, organized into 750 households, and 465 families living in the city. The population density was 1202.7 people per square mile (464.37/kmē), it is the 131st most densely populated city in the U.S. state of West Virginia.
