Marlinton Town, Pocahontas County, West Virginia is a town located in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, the population was 1204. The town's estimated population as of July 2008 was 1190, giving it the 131st largest population among West Virginia. The town extends throughout a territory of 2.33 square miles (6.03 square kilometre ), of which, 2.23 square miles (5.78 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 82nd largest by total area in West Virginia.
