Marlin City is a city located in Falls County, Texas, in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. It is home to over 6628 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population was 5817, It is the 274th most populous in the U.S. state of Texas. The city extends throughout a territory of 4.57 square miles (11.84 kmē ), of which, 4.52 square miles (11.71 kmē) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 kmē) of it is water, making it Texas's 459th largest by total area.
