Marks City is a one of the Quitman County, Mississippi, located in Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 1551 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 1721, It is the 145th largest in terms of population. It is spread over 1.03 mi˛ (2.67 square kilometre), making it the 76th smallest by size in Mississippi.
