Marion County, Arkansas is a county of the United States of Arkansas. Marion County had an official population of 16140 in 2000. In July 2008, its estimated population was 16774, It is the 47th largest in terms of population. The county spans an area of 640.35 sq mi (1658.5 sq km), of which, 597.7 square miles (1548.04 sq km) of it is land and 42.65 square miles (110.46 sq km) of it is water, it is the 43rd largest by area in the U.S. state of Arkansas. It is ranks fifth in the size of its inland waterways in Arkansas.
