Marion City is a city located in Marion County, South Carolina, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Marion City is home to 7042 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 6801, giving it the 62nd largest population among South Carolina. The city extends throughout a territory of 4.33 square miles (11.21 kmē ), giving it the 125th largest by total area among South Carolina.
