Mardela Springs Town, Wicomico County, Maryland is a town located in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. The population of town in 2000 stood at 364 as per the Census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the town is 357, It is the 35th least populous in the U.S. state of Maryland. Its area is just over 0.37 sq mi (0.96 square kilometre), of which, 0.36 square miles (0.93 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 17th smallest by total area among Maryland.

As of the census of 2000, there were 364 people in the town, organized into 135 households, and 94 families residing in the town. The population density was 1009.2 people per square mile (389.65/kmē), it is 105th least densely populated town in Maryland. There were 159 housing units at an average density of 441.7 per square mile (170.54/kmē). The average household size was 2.67 persons, and the average family size was 3.15 persons. In the town the population was spread out, with 29.1% under the age of 18, 8.2% from 18 to 24, 30.2% from 25 to 44, 20.6% from 45 to 64, and 11.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 104.5 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 116.8 females. The median age is 34.3 years, the median age of male residents at 31.7 and the median age of female residents at 35.5. The racial makeup of the town was 90.93% White, 5.49% Black or African American, 0.55% American Indian, 0% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 1.1% from two or more races and 1.92% Other races.
