Maple Lake City is one of the city of Wright County, Minnesota, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 1633. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 2035, giving it the 267th largest population among Minnesota. The city encompasses an area of 1.96 mi˛ (5.08 square kilometre ), of which, 1.92 square miles (4.97 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 322nd largest by total area in Minnesota.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1633 residents, 621 households, and 388 families in the city. The population density was 848.9 people per square mile (327.76/km˛), it is 353rd most densely populated city in Minnesota. There were 632 housing units at an average density of 329.2 per square mile (127.1/km˛). The average household size was 2.62 people, and the average family size was 3.38 people.
