Manchester Borough is a United States borough located in the York County, Pennsylvania, United States. As per the 2000 census, borough has a population of 2350 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 2456, It is the 555th largest by population in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. The borough encompasses an area of 0.79 square miles (2.05 sq km), giving it the 857th largest by total area among Pennsylvania.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2350 residents, 1009 households, and 665 families in the borough. The population density was 2986.4 people per square mile (1153.06/kmē), it is the 401st most populated borough in terms of population density. There were 1058 housing units at an average density of 1339.2 per square mile (517.07/kmē). The average household size was 2.33 people, and the average family size was 2.81 people. In the borough Age distribution was 21.5% under the age of 18, 10.3% from 18 to 24, 34.2% from 25 to 44, 21.4% from 45 to 64, and 12.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 104.5 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 107.9 females. The median age was 35.3 years, the median age of male residents at 33.9 and the median age of female residents at 36.2. The racial makeup of the borough was 97.28% White, 0.47% Black or African American, 0.26% American Indian, 0.26% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 0.85% from two or more races and 0.89% Other races.
