Manawa City is a one of the Waupaca County, Wisconsin, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 1330. The July 2008 population estimate is 1264, It is the 312th largest by population in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The city has a total area of 1.78 square miles (4.61 sq km), of which, 1.67 square miles (4.33 sq km) of it is land and 0.11 square miles (0.28 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 343rd largest by total area in Wisconsin.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1330 people in the city, organized into 76 households, and 48 families living in the city. The population density was 796.7 people per square mile (307.61/kmē), it is 318th most densely populated city in Wisconsin. There were 570 housing units at an average density of 341.3 per square mile (131.78/kmē). The average household size was 2.41 persons, and the average family size was 3.16 persons. In the city the population is diverse age-wise, with 27.4% under the age of 18, 6.5% from 18 to 24, 27.6% from 25 to 44, 17.2% from 45 to 64, and 21.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 91.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89 males. The median age of the city's population was 36.6 years, the median age of male residents at 35.8 and the median age of female residents at 38.3. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 99.1% White, 0.08% Black or African American, 0.38% American Indian, 0.08% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 0.38% from two or more races and 0% Other races.
