Malta City is a United States city located in the Phillips County, Montana, United States. In 2000, city's population was 2120 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 1801, giving it the 41st largest population among Montana. It is spread over 1.06 square miles (2.75 square kilometre), it is the 171st largest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2120 people, 907 households, and 566 families living in the city.
