Maiden Town, Catawba and Lincoln counties, North Carolina is a town located in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, the population was 3282. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 3501, giving it the 183rd largest population among North Carolina. The town spans an area of 4.77 mi˛ (12.35 square kilometre), of which, 4.73 square miles (12.25 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 187th largest by area in the U.S. state of North Carolina.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3282 residents, 1187 households, and 849 families in the town. The population density was 693.3 people per square mile (267.68/km˛), it is North Carolina's 330th most densely populated town. There were 1258 housing units at an average density of 266 per square mile (102.7/km˛). The average household size was 2.47 and the average family size was 2.95. In the town Age distribution was 21.7% under the age of 18, 9.6% from 18 to 24, 32.8% from 25 to 44, 22.5% from 45 to 64, and 13.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 110 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 112.7 males. The median age is 36.1 years, the median age of male residents at 35 and the median age of female residents at 38. The racial or ethnic makeup of the town was 2627 White, 483 Black or African American, 12 American Indian, 27 Asian, 10 Native Hawaiian, 34 from two or more races and 89 Ohter races.
