Madison Town is one of the town of Rockingham County, North Carolina, located towards the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 2262. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the town is 2255, It is North Carolina's 244th largest by population . Its area is just over 3.31 mi˛ (8.57 square kilometre), of which, 3.29 square miles (8.52 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, making it North Carolina's 263rd largest by total area.
