Madison County, Montana is a county of the United States of Montana. In 2000, the population was 6851. In July 2008, its estimated population was 7509, It is the 27th largest in terms of population. The county has a total area of 3602.85 mi˛ (9331.34 sq km), of which, 3586.54 square miles (9289.1 sq km) of it is land and 16.31 square miles (42.24 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 13th largest by total area in Montana.

Its population was estimated at 7509 in July 2008, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 97.92% White, 0.05% Black or African American, 0.67% American Indian, 0.2% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, and 1.16% from two or more races.
