Madison City is a city in the St. Francis County, Arkansas, United States. Madison City had an official population of 987 in 2000. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 853, giving it the 202nd largest population among Arkansas. It has total area of 1.78 miē (4.61 kmē), of which, 1.71 square miles (4.43 kmē) of it is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 kmē) of it is water, it is the 275th largest by area in the U.S. state of Arkansas.
