Macon County is a county in the United States of Missouri. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Macon County is home to 15762 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 15621, It is the 67th most populous county in the U.S. state of Missouri. It covers total area of 812.53 sq mi (2104.44 sq km), of which, 803.77 square miles (2081.75 sq km) of it is land and 8.76 square miles (22.69 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 13th largest by total area among Missouri's county.
