Macon City, Mississippi is a city of the Noxubee County, Mississippi, United States. As of 2000 the population was 2461. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 2744, It is the 104th largest in terms of population. The city comprises an area of 1.51 square miles (3.91 sq km), it is the 207th largest by area in the U.S. state of Mississippi.
