Macomb County is a county located in the United States of Michigan. The county has a population of 788149 as per the 2000 census data. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 830663, It is the third most populous county in the U.S. state of Michigan. It covers total area of 569.78 miē (1475.72 kmē), of which, 480.44 square miles (1244.33 kmē) of it is land and 89.34 square miles (231.39 kmē) of it is water, making it the 11th smallest by size in Michigan.

The population density was 1640.5 people per square mile (633.4/kmē), making its Michigan's second most densely populated county. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 830663, The racial makeup of the county was 726769 White, 63231 Black or African American, 2910 American Indian, 25240 Asian, 222 Native Hawaiian, and 12291 from two or more races.
