Macomb City is a one of the McDonough County, Illinois, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 18558 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 19736, It is the 122nd largest in terms of population. The city has a total area of 10.25 mi˛ (26.55 square kilometre), of which, 9.85 square miles (25.51 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.4 square miles (1.04 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 70th largest by total area in Illinois.
