Mackinaw City Village is a United States city located in the Emmet and Cheboygan counties, Michigan, United States. The population of the city was 859 as per the 2000 census data. Its population was estimated at 840 in July 2008, It is Michigan's 160th smallest by population . The city spans an area of 7.58 miē (19.63 kmē), of which, 3.36 square miles (8.7 kmē) of it is land and 4.21 square miles (10.9 kmē) of it is water, it is the 90th largest by area in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is ranks tenth in the size of its inland waterways in Michigan.

The population density was 255.3 people per square mile (98.57/kmē), it is the 36th least densely populated city in the U.S. state of Michigan.
