It is the 22nd most populous in the U.S. state of Georgia. The census designated place extends throughout a territory of 20.76 sq mi (53.77 square kilometre ), of which, 20.59 square miles (53.33 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.17 square miles (0.44 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 24th largest by total area in Georgia.
