Luverne City is a city in the Rock County, Minnesota, United States. It is home to over 4617 people (2000 census). The July 2008 population estimate is 4425, It is the 135th most populous in the U.S. state of Minnesota. Its area is just over 3.42 square miles (8.86 square kilometre), of which, 3.4 square miles (8.81 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Minnesota's 210th largest by total area.
