Lutcher Town is a one of the St. James Parish, Louisiana, located in Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, town has a population of 3735 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 3464, It is the 132nd largest by population in the U.S. state of Louisiana. The town extends throughout a territory of 3.41 square miles (8.83 square kilometre ), of which, 3.37 square miles (8.73 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 179th largest by area in the U.S. state of Louisiana.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 3735 people, 400 households, and 290 families living in the town. The population density was 1107.3 people per square mile (427.53/kmē), it is the 130th most populated town in terms of population density.
