Lucas County is a county located in the United States of Ohio. It is home to over 455054 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population was 440456, giving it the sixth largest population among Ohio's county. The county comprises an area of 595.88 miē (1543.32 kmē), of which, 340.46 square miles (881.79 kmē) of it is land and 255.42 square miles (661.53 kmē) of it is water, it is the 14th largest by area in the U.S. state of Ohio. It is ranks seventh in the size of its inland waterways in Ohio.
