Love County is a county in the United States of Oklahoma. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 8831 inhabitants. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 9155, It is 17th least populous county in Oklahoma. It is spread over 531.94 sq mi (1377.72 sq km), of which, 515.38 square miles (1334.83 sq km ) of it is land and 16.56 square miles (42.89 sq km) of it is water, making it Oklahoma's sixth smallest county by total area.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 8831 residents, 3442 households, and 2556 families in the county. The population density was 17.1 people per square mile (6.6/kmē), it is the 50th most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. There were 4066 housing units at an average density of 7.9 per square mile (3.05/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.54 persons, and the average family size was 2.97 persons. In the county Age distribution was 25.7% under the age of 18, 7% from 18 to 24, 25.4% from 25 to 44, 25.7% from 45 to 64, and 16.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 101.9 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 105.4 females. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 9155, The racial makeup of the county was 8032 White, 199 Black or African American, 612 American Indian, 25 Asian, 1 Native Hawaiian, and 286 from two or more races.
