Louisville City is a city located in Boulder County, Colorado, in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 18937 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 19133, making it the 31st most populous in Colorado. It is spread over 8.56 miē (22.17 kmē), of which, 8.52 square miles (22.07 kmē ) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 kmē) of it is water, it is the 58th largest by area in the U.S. state of Colorado.

As of the census of 2000, there were 18937 people in the city, organized into 7216 households, and 4947 families residing in the city. The population density was 2223.6 people per square mile (858.54/kmē), it is the 61st most populated city in terms of population density. There were 7389 housing units at an average density of 867.3 per square mile (334.87/kmē). The average household size was 2.61 and the average family size was 3.13. In the city the population is diverse age-wise, with 28.7% under the age of 18, 6.3% from 18 to 24, 35.6% from 25 to 44, 23.3% from 45 to 64, and 6.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 98.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95 males. The median age is 36 years, the median age of male residents at 34.9 and the median age of female residents at 36.9. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 91.17% White, 0.93% Black or African American, 0.54% American Indian, 3.55% Asian, 0.08% Native Hawaiian, 1.9% from two or more races and 1.83% Other races.
