Loretto City is a United States city located in the Lawrence County, Tennessee, United States. The city has a population of 1665 as per the 2000 census data. Its population was estimated at 1705 in July 2008, It is the 206th largest by population in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It covers total area of 3.77 sq mi (9.76 kmē), of which, 3.76 square miles (9.74 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, making it the 213th largest by size in Tennessee.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1665 people, 5369 households, and 3232 families residing in the city. The population density was 442.3 people per square mile (170.77/kmē), making it the 233rd most densely populated city in Tennessee.
