Loretto City is a one of the Marion County, Kentucky, located in Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Loretto City is home to 623 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 654, making it the 309th most populous in Kentucky. It has total area of 3.52 sq mi (9.12 sq km), of which, 3.52 square miles (9.12 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, making it Kentucky's 120th largest by total area.

The population density was 177.2 people per square mile (68.42/kmē), it is the tenth least densely populated city in the U.S. state of Kentucky.
