Lonoke City is a city in the Lonoke County, Arkansas, United States. As of 2000 the population was 4287. In July 2008, its estimated population was 4600, It is 70th most populous in Arkansas. The city comprises an area of 4.61 mi˛ (11.94 square kilometre), of which, 4.33 square miles (11.21 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.28 square miles (0.73 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 113th largest by total area in Arkansas.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 4287 people, 1595 households, and 1093 families residing in the city. The population density was 990 people per square mile (382.24/km˛), it is Arkansas's 92nd most densely populated city. There were 1703 housing units at an average density of 393.3 per square mile (151.85/km˛). The average household size was 2.53 persons, and the average family size was 3.14 persons. In the city the population is diverse age-wise, with 26.3% under the age of 18, 8.7% from 18 to 24, 25.8% from 25 to 44, 21.5% from 45 to 64, and 17.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 88.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 82.4 males. The median age is 37.2 years, the median age of male residents at 33.9 and the median age of female residents at 40.6. The racial makeup of the city was 73.29% White, 23.4% Black or African American, 0.77% American Indian, 0.33% Asian, 0.05% Native Hawaiian, 1.19% from two or more races and 0.98% Other races.
