Longview City is one of the city of Cowlitz County, Washington, located towards the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Longview City is home to 34660 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 36562, It is the 23rd most populous in the U.S. state of Washington. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 14.1 sq mi (36.52 kmē), of which, 13.7 square miles (35.48 kmē) of it is land and 0.4 square miles (1.04 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 48th largest by total area among Washington.
