Longport Borough is a borough located in the Atlantic County, New Jersey, United States. In 2000, borough's population was 1054 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 1088, giving it the 32nd smallest population among New Jersey. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 1.63 mi˛ (4.22 sq km), of which, 0.38 square miles (0.98 sq km) of it is land and 1.24 square miles (3.21 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 330th largest by total area among New Jersey.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1054 people in the borough, organized into 457 households, and 284 families living in the borough. The population density was 2765.2 people per square mile (1067.65/km˛), giving it the 266th most densely populated borough among the New Jersey. In the borough the population was spread out, with 11.4% under the age of 18, 2.6% from 18 to 24, 18.9% from 25 to 44, 32.6% from 45 to 64, and 34.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 115.5 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 117.7 females.
