Longboat Key Town is a United States town located in the Sarasota and Manatee counties, Florida, United States. The population of the town was 7603 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the town is 7309, making it the 322nd most populous in Florida. Its area is just over 17.07 sq mi (44.21 kmē), of which, 4.92 square miles (12.74 kmē) of it is land and 12.15 square miles (31.47 kmē) of it is water, making it the 104th largest by size in Florida. It is ranks 18 in the size of its inland waterways in Florida.
