Lonaconing Town is a town located in Allegany County, Maryland, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, town's population was 1205 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the town is 1125, giving it the 97th smallest population among Maryland. It is spread over 0.42 sq mi (1.09 kmē), it is the 51st smallest in terms of geographical size.
