The city extends throughout a territory of 9.7 sq mi (25.12 square kilometre ), of which, 9.69 square miles (25.1 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 80th largest by area in the U.S. state of Illinois.
