Logan County is a one of the county from North Dakota's 53 counties, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, county's population was 2308 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 1943, It is the eighth least populous county in the U.S. state of North Dakota. It covers total area of 1011.07 sq mi (2618.66 kmē), of which, 992.64 square miles (2570.93 kmē) of it is land and 18.43 square miles (47.73 kmē) of it is water, it is the 16th smallest by area in the U.S. state of North Dakota.


According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 2308 people, 963 households, and 660 families living in the county. The population density was 2.3 people per square mile (0.89/kmē), it is the 11th least densely populated county in the U.S. state of North Dakota. There were 1193 housing units at an average density of 1.2 per square mile (0.46/kmē). The average household size was 2.32 and the average family size was 2.88. In the county Population was distributed with 22.6% under the age of 18, 3.6% from 18 to 24, 21.8% from 25 to 44, 25% from 45 to 64, and 27% who were 65 or older.
