Logan County is a United States county located in the United States of Kansas. As of 2000 the population was 3046. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 2593, It is 14th least populous county in Kansas. It is spread over 1073.09 sq mi (2779.29 sq km), of which, 1072.99 square miles (2779.03 sq km ) of it is land and 0.11 square miles (0.28 sq km) of it is water, making it the 11th largest by size in Kansas.

The population density was 2.8 people per square mile (1.08/kmē), making its Kansas's seventh least densely populated county. There were 1423 housing units at an average density of 1.3 per square mile (0.5/kmē). The average household size was 2.4 and the average family size was 2.98. In the county the population was spread out, with 25.4% under the age of 18, 7.2% from 18 to 24, 24.4% from 25 to 44, 22.3% from 45 to 64, and 20.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 93.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93 males. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 2593, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 2521 White, 17 Black or African American, 7 American Indian, 5 Asian, 0 Native Hawaiian, and 43 from two or more races.
