Logan County is one of the 75 county of Arkansas, located towards the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 22486 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 22567, It is Arkansas's 32nd most populous county. It covers total area of 731.5 square miles (1894.58 square kilometre), of which, 709.87 square miles (1838.55 square kilometre) of it is land and 21.63 square miles (56.02 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 27th largest by total area in Arkansas.

The population density was 31.7 people per square mile (12.24/kmē), it is the 33rd most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Arkansas. In the county the population was spread out, with 25.9% under the age of 18, 7.5% from 18 to 24, 26.7% from 25 to 44, 23.9% from 45 to 64, and 16% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 101.6 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 106.1 females. In July 2008, its estimated population was 22567, The racial makeup of the county was 21449 White, 332 Black or African American, 187 American Indian, 251 Asian, 5 Native Hawaiian, and 343 from two or more races.
