Lockhart Town is a United States town located in the Union County, South Carolina, United States. As per the 2000 census, town has a population of 39 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 490 in July 2008, It is the least populous in the U.S. state of South Carolina. The town encompasses an area of 0.23 square miles (0.6 square kilometre ), of which, 0.14 square miles (0.36 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.09 square miles (0.23 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the third smallest by size in South Carolina.
