Lockhart Town is a town located in Covington County, Alabama, in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. Lockhart Town had an official population of 548 in 2000. The town comprises an area of 1.13 mi˛ (2.93 sq km), of which, 1.09 square miles (2.82 sq km) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 sq km) of it is water, it is the 71st smallest by area in the U.S. state of Alabama.
