Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 13661, It is the 185th most populous in the U.S. state of Texas. The city spans an area of 11.26 sq mi (29.16 kmē), of which, 11.25 square miles (29.14 kmē) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 kmē) of it is water, making it Texas's 207th largest by total area.
