Livingston County is a county in the United States of New York. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Livingston County is home to 64328 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 63154, It is New York's 39th most populous county. The county extends throughout a territory of 640.44 square miles (1658.73 kmē ), of which, 632.13 square miles (1637.21 kmē) of it is land and 8.32 square miles (21.55 kmē) of it is water, making it New York's 39th largest county by total area.

The population density was 101.8 people per square mile (39.31/kmē), giving it the 37th most densely populated county among the New York. There were 24023 housing units at an average density of 38 per square mile (14.67/kmē). The average household size was 2.6 and the average family size was 3.05. In the county the population was distributed as follows: 23.4% under the age of 18, 14.2% from 18 to 24, 28.9% from 25 to 44, 22.1% from 45 to 64, and 11.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 100.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 99 males. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 63154, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 59598 White, 1979 Black or African American, 189 American Indian, 644 Asian, 19 Native Hawaiian, and 725 from two or more races.
