Livingston County is a county located in Missouri, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. Livingston County had an official population of 14558 in 2000. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 14213, It is the 71st largest county by population in the U.S. state of Missouri. Its area is just over 538.48 mi˛ (1394.66 square kilometre), of which, 534.52 square miles (1384.4 square kilometre) of it is land and 3.95 square miles (10.23 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 73rd largest by area in the U.S. state of Missouri.

The population density was 27.2 people per square mile (10.5/km˛), it is Missouri's 66th most densely populated county. There were 6467 housing units at an average density of 12.1 per square mile (4.67/km˛). The average household size was 2.38 persons, and the average family size was 2.96 persons. Age range in the county was well distributed with 24.4% under the age of 18, 7.4% from 18 to 24, 26.2% from 25 to 44, 23% from 45 to 64, and 19% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 84.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 79.5 males. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 14213, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 95.2% White, 2.8% Black or African American, 0.36% American Indian, 0.53% Asian, 0.01% Native Hawaiian, and 1.09% from two or more races.
