Livingston City is a city located in Park County, Montana, in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 6851 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 7500, It is 13th most populous in Montana. Its area is just over 2.64 square miles (6.84 kmē), of which, 2.63 square miles (6.81 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, making it the 104th largest by size in Montana.

As of the census of 2000, there were 6851 residents, 3084 households, and 1753 families in the city. The population density was 2601.3 people per square mile (1004.37/kmē), it is the 14th most populated city in terms of population density. There were 3360 housing units at an average density of 1277.6 per square mile (493.28/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.16 persons, and the average family size was 2.86 persons. In the city the population was spread out, with 22.7% under the age of 18, 7.5% from 18 to 24, 27.5% from 25 to 44, 23.6% from 45 to 64, and 18.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 95 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.7 males. The median age was 40.3 years, The median age of males and females living in Livingston City was 38 and 42.2 years respectively. The racial makeup of the city was 6604 White, 21 Black or African American, 67 American Indian, 34 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 84 from two or more races and 41 Ohter races.
